Aptitude and Reasoning MCQ Questions with Solutions

If the LCM and HCF of two numbers are 78 and 13 respectively, the product of two numbers can be expressed as:

A) 2*3*13*11
B) 2*3*13*12
C) 2*3*13*13
D) 2*3*13*14
Answer & Description: C) 2*3*13*13
Property: Product of two numbers = LCM * HCF
HCF of given 2 numbers =13 and LCM = 78
Product of two numbers = 13*78 = 1014
HCF = 13, means both the numbers have '13' in common.
LCM= 78 = 2*3*13.
So our numbers can be (13, 2*3*13) or (2*13 , 3*13) that is (78,13) or (39,26).
the product of two numbers can be expressed as: 2*3*13*13
Hence, product of 2 numbers = product of their HCF and LCM
